On the auspicious occasion of Independence Day today, I had the honour of hoisting the National Tricolour at Punjab Congress Bhawan, Chandigarh, and paid heartfelt tribute to the great martyrs and freedom fighters who sacrificed everything for the freedom of our nation. This freedom has been earned through countless sacrifices. On the occasion of the 80th Independence Day, let us all pledge to strengthen the unity, integrity, and communal harmony of our country, take India to new heights of progress, and contribute towards building a prosperous, just, and better society.
