Ludhiana MP and former Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring visited the family of anti-drug activist Parvinder Singh Jhota in Mansa following his killing on October 13, 2026. Warring had previously met Jhota’s father and family in 2023, when Jhota was arrested in connection with a case linked to his anti-drug activities. Following the fatal shooting, Warring expressed condolences to the bereaved family and raised concerns over Punjab’s law and order situation and the government’s anti-drug campaign. His visit brought renewed attention to Jhota’s efforts against drug abuse and the family’s demand for justice.
